Application Procedure
Please apply both electronically and on paper. Using only one method will disqualify your application from consideration.

Submit all documents before the deadline to the Office of Education Abroad in E1447. Follow the links for information about: 1) expenses and financial aid, 2) scholarships, and 3) how to pay Education Abroad.
Program Requirements
Students must be 18 years old or older at the time of application.
Short-Term Study Abroad (Winter/Summer)
- Minimum G.P.A.: 2.5
- Completed No. of Credits Required to Apply: 6 credits

- APPLY with: Online App, Winter 2018-2019 App, and $350.00 Application Fee/Deposit
Semester Study (Costa Rica) - Development Studies in Latin America
- Minimum G.P.A.: 3.0
- Completed No. of Credits Required to Apply: 12 credits (students must have 24 completed credits when they begin their program in Costa Rica)

- *Requires ONE Academic Letter of Reference
- APPLY with: Online App, Spring 2019 Paper App, and $350.00 Application Fee/Deposit
Semester Exchanges
Exchange programs offer the advantage of paying tuition at the HUNTER COLLEGE rate.
- Minimum G.P.A.: 3.0
- Completed No. of Credits Required to Apply: 45-48 credits (students must have 60 completed credits when they begin their exchange program)
- *Requires TWO reference letters, out of which at least one must be academic (i.e. from a professor); academic letters must be from someone who has instructed you at the college level. One letter can be from someone who knows you well from work experience (i.e. job, internship, volunteering); this letter should speak to your adaptability, reliability, and ability to take full advantage of the abroad experience.
