Financial Aid & Scholarships



For questions regarding how your financial aid package may be applied towards your education abroad, please contact the Office of Financial Aid at Hunter College. All program descriptions contain a list of FAFSA awards that may be applied towards education abroad.

National Scholarship Competitions

  • FEA - Fund for Education Abroad
    Applications for Academic Year 2015-16 open November 18, 2014
    Application Deadline: January 16, 2015
    Academic Year 2015-16 includes Summer 2015, Fall 2015, and Spring 2016
    May 25 - June 30, 2015
    The Humanity in Action Foundation  (HIA) brings together international groups of Fellows to study minority rights and produce research exploring how and why individuals and societies  have resisted intolerance and protected democratic values.  Separate programs will take place in Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Paris and Warsaw. Fellows will meet with local leaders, journalists, human rights and advocates and produce original research exploring how and why individuals and societies, past and present, have resisted intolerance and protected democratic values The program is open to current sophomores, juniors, and seniors and recent graduates.  Students of all academic disciplines, interests and backgrounds are encouraged to apply.  Fellows are selected on the basis of leadership potential, academic achievement, the willingness to work with others, and a commitment to human rights and social justice.  Further information and the application are available at:

USAC Scholarships

  • A limited number of $500 scholarships are available for students accepted into any USAC program. If interested, please come by the office after you have received your acceptance letter from USAC.
