Program Description
The program, organized in cooperation with the Kosciuszko Foundation
and offered at the prestigious Jagiellonian University, includes
intensive Polish language instruction in the morning (available from
beginner through advanced levels) and at least one of the afternoon
lectures. A second lecture may be added at no extra cost.
Students live in double occupancy rooms at Dom Studenta
"Piast", 5 tram stops from the Old Town, where the University is
located. Meals are served three times a day in the dormitory cafeteria.
The classes will be complemented by guided tours of the Krakow's Old
Town and the Wawel Royal Castle, as well as by excursions to such
places as Pieniny Mountains for a raft ride on the Dunajec River,
ski-resort town of Zakopane, Auschwitz Memorial, Wieliczka Salt Mines
or Pieskowa Skala Castle.
Full-time students of Polish descent, who are US citizens or permanent
residents and who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, may apply for
the Tomaszkiewicz-Florio scholarship. Please, come to the Education
