Costa Rica

Hunter College joins forces with the International Center for Development Studies (ICDS) and Hospital Clinica Biblica to offer students planning to enter health professions a six-week program, which will provide them the opportunity to explore health care issues in a developing country while furthering their Spanish language skills and gaining an understanding of the life and culture of Costa Rica.

Dates: June 29 - August 12, 2017

Spanish & Community Health in Latin America

The School of Education at Hunter College offers a two-track program in San Jose, Costa Rica, open to students with a BA degree or higher. The program is offered in collaboration with the Universidad Latina and the International Center for Development Studies (ICDS).

Dates: July 14 - August 5, 2017

Teaching English in Global Contexts & Multicultural Education


This field course provides students with a unique opportunity to gain research experience in the field by participating in a study of the vocalizations and behavior of wild dolphins.

Dolphin Behavior & Communication


The Division of Russian and Slavic Studies offers a new, two-track program in Riga, Latvia. One track will consist of a 3-credit course, "The Baltic Transit: Russian Writers enroute to the West" and the other track of the 6-credit Intensive Intermediate Russian.


Dates: June 4 - July 1, 2017

Russian Language and Literature


This program will explore the diversity of theatrical offerings in London and vicinity, providing a wide-ranging rich understanding of British theater practiced today, both traditonal and modern.

Dates: July 8 - August 5, 2017

Contemporary British Theater


This program is run at the prestigious L'Universite de Technologie de Compiegne (UTC). CUNY students will study alongside students from several other countries.

Dates: June 30 - July 29, 2017

French Language Immersion


The program takes place at DIALOG-Institut in Kassel. Kassel, the regional capital of the Hesse region for over a thousand years, with spectacular palaces and parks that witness the city's past glory.

Dates: 4-week sessions in June, July, or August (starting day of classes May 29, last class August 18)

German Language Immersion


The Central Mediterranean Archaeology program takes places in two locations in Sicily: Stromboli, a volcanic island in the Aeolian Archipelago, and Cannatello, on the southern coast of Sicily.

Sicily: Central Mediterranean Archeology


The program, organized in cooperation with the Kosciuszko Foundation and offered at the prestigious Jagiellonian University, includes intensive Polish language instructions.

Dates: July 2 - July 30, 2017

Polish Language & Culture


The experience of living and working on the North Atlantic island of Rousay immerses students in northern maritime ecology and provides a chance to do real field science as part of an international team.

Dates: July 1 - July 29, 2017

Orkney: Gateway to the Atlantic


Experience one of the liveliest cities in the world: Madrid! The program encompasses college-level undergraduate programs for six credits each in June or July, or one Intensive Program for twelve credits - June and July combined.
