Winter Programs 2017-2018

We will accept new applications on a rolling basis (pending space availability for each program) until November 6, 2017.

Application Deadline: October 19, 2017


Take six credits in Spanish language or literature at the Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata, one of the most prestigious in Argentina. The small classes are staffed with one instructor and several local students.

The program is located on the beautiful Melbourne Burwood Campus. Often referred to as the "cultural capital of Australia", Melbourne is filled with plazas, bars, restaurants and cultural events along the Yarra River.

Hunter College joins forces with SUNY Brockport to provide students with a unique experience in Ghana, at the University of Ghana at Legon. Accra has a lively nightlife and an "non-touristy" atmosphere.

Ghana: The African Experience


Live and think locally at the crossroads of democracy, distinctive cultures, and globalization.  In the extraordinary state of Kerala, India, known for its unique form of democratic government: study and walkabout in Kochi, visit Hindu temples and see performances of Kathakali theater; explore the forested wildlands of Munnar, and swim along the beaches of Kovalam, near the state's capital of Trivandrum.

Kerala, India: The Diversity of Democracy


This course offers a survey of the literature of the Italian Renaissance in Florence. A study of the contribution in the fields of art, politics, and philosophy by the likes of Machiavelli, Leonardo, and Michelangelo.

This unique program offers teachers the opportunity to deeply engage with education and educators in the Dominican Republic, a country with close ties to New York City. Learn firsthand how the historical, social and political contexts of Dominican society affect students today and work side by side with local Dominican English language teachers.
