The program, presently in its 19th successful year, is open to all CUNY students with the appropriate GPA. Upon arrival in Pescara, a modern city in the Abruzzo region, students check into a three star beach-front hotel where they reside until their departure. From Monday to Friday they attend classes at the local university and are free to travel during weekends. Classes are small, the instruction is personalized and the results have typically been outstanding.

The program offers Hunter College courses and is open to all academically qualified college students. Knowledge and/or study of the Italian language are not required. This summer we plan to offer either IT101 (Beginning Italian I) or IT221 (Intermediate Conversation) plus ONE of the following courses of Italian Literature taught in English: IT260W (The Modern Italian Short Story) OR IT338 (19th and 20th Century Italian Women Writers) OR IT370 Special Topic in 20th Century Italian Literature as well as IT495.03 (Independent Study). At Hunter College, the final grades are computed in the GPA.
