Program Description
Study in Jordan this January with Hunter College's Arabic Language program in Amman. Amman is a vibrant, diverse, and safe Arab capital. Our program is held at the Qasid Institute, a highly regarded Arabic language institute used by US government programs such as Fulbright and the Critical Language Scholarship (CLS). Students will live in gender-segregated apartments near the institute. Beginning students will study the equivalent of Hunter's Arabic 101 and be eligible to enroll in Hunter's Arabic 102 course in the spring 2013 semester. Non-beginners will be placed in the appropriate class. Orientation and placement exams will take place on December 29th to 31st. Classes begin on January 2nd, 2013. The program will end on January 24th.
