STUDY ABROAD 101

Study Abroad 101

Every Wednesday from 1-2 p.m. E1413

Study Abroad 101 is a presentation designed to give you an overview of studying abroad through Hunter College. It is intended to help students set goals for study abroad, consider the various program types, understand the financial resources, and get started on an application.  Applications to study abroad or Advising appointments should not be started until you have attended a 101 session!

After attending a Study Abroad 101 session, students are also encouraged to meet with their academic advisors to discuss academic requirements and to identify potential classes or subjects that they will be able to take while abroad.

Education Abroad staff and ambassadors facilitate live and in-person Study Abroad 101 presentations. Our Ambassadors are Hunter study abroad returnees who have enjoyed their experiences so much that they volunteer their time to advise other students on education abroad opportunities at Hunter. Each ambassador can explain program options, give an overview of the study abroad process, as well as provide information about their experience abroad.

Sessions typically last about 30-40 minutes. Spring
