Position
Description and Duties |
||
|
|
||
|
Reporting to the Director of Environmental Health and
Safety, the Health and Safety Compliance Assistant will support the Director
in the development and implementation of general environmental and
occupational safety programs as well as compliance with regulatory and
institutional safety policies. Assist with the management of regulated waste programs.
Collect and prepare hazardous, radioactive, biomedical, universal, electronic
and other regulated wastes from laboratories and buildings in several Conducts routine testing and calibration of safety
related equipment. Assist with collection and analysis of samples. |

Qualification Requirements |
||
|

||
|
A bachelor's degree in the
sciences (chemistry, biology, etc.), engineering or related discipline with
at least one year of experience working with waste management and safety
programs. DOT certification in management of hazardous chemicals.
HAZWOPER certification. Experience working with regulated wastes including:
chemical, biomedical, radioactive. Good communication and interpersonal
skills. Ability to travel to several locations in |
