The English Language Teaching Institute is designed for English Language teachers (and teachers of other modern languages) at all levels of experience. Our students have included teachers from the USA and around the world, from pre-certificate level to those holding MA and PhD degrees. Our seminars focus on practical teaching methods, materials and ideas to bring back to the classroom, and are geared to the specific needs of participants and their students.

In 2010, we started a blended TEFL Certificate course for college degree holders who would like to teach English abroad.

We also participate in joint TEFL certificate programs with institutions around the world; our faculty teach specifically requested seminars both abroad and at Hunter College.
