She holds a Master's Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Hunter College, and has over twenty years of experience teaching English--academic English, developmental reading, developmental writing, and expository writing--to both nonnative and native English speaking students. She has also taught graduate courses to future teachers in the MATESOL Program at Hunter College.

Additionally, Ms. Wishengrad serves as the Campus Representative on the ESL Discipline Council, a CUNY-wide committe of ESL Program Coordinators and Chairs, working together to bring the best education and resources possible to our nonnative-speaking community of students.

Please contact Cindy Wishengrad for current information or questions regarding ESL programs for Hunter students: cwisheng@hunter.cuny.edu.

Note that this ESL program is only for matriculated Hunter students. If you would like to take ESL language courses and you are not a Hunter student, you must reach out to the International English Language Institute at Hunter. This is a language school that has many different levels of English courses.
