Lewis Meyers did graduate work at the University of Michigan, the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia University Teachers College. He has published four writing textbooks. He is particularly interested, in teaching, in the historical springs and social contexts of literary production, an interest that stems in part from his own political activism.
