Program Descriptions

FEDERAL PELL GRANT can be used to pay your tuition, or if your tuition is covered by other means, to help with your book, supply and transportation costs.  U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens enrolled in degree programs, who meet certain income criteria, may qualify for a Federal Pell Grant. The Federal Pell Grant is determined by your Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) as noted on your Federal Student Aid Report.  The Pell Chart shows the amount of Federal Pell Grant funds for which you may be eligible.

Other Federal Campus Based Programs

FEDERAL WORK-STUDY is a program that provides part-time jobs to students who need additional finanical aid.  The Federal Work-Study Program provides jobs for undergraduate and graduate students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses.  Jobs are available both on and off-campus and include community service work.  A listing of jobs is included on this website.

FEDERAL SEOG assists exceptionally needy students and is intended to supplement other forms of financial aid for undergraduate students.  Award amounts vary based on the availability of program funds.

FEDERAL PERKINS LOAN is a low interest loan awarded by the college to students who demonstrate financial need.  It can be used for tuition or other educationally related expenses.  You must begin to repay this money to the college 9 months after graduation or termination of attendance. (Not available to freshmen.)
