Exit  Counseling is an update of a student's record. Any student who has borrowed  and has graduated, stopped attending, taken less than six credits, or  is scheduled to graduate must go through the Exit Counseling process.  Students that attend Hunter's Exit Counseling session will receive an  updated copy of their borrowing history, which will include all institutions  they have received loans from as well as from Hunter College. They will  also receive information on their rights and responsibilities as a loan  borrower, debt management information, as well as repayment information  and options.

Students  that wish to do the Exit Interview through the Department of Education  on the web will receive the same information. You must, however, download  the Rights and Responsibility form and mail it to the OASIS (room 217  HN), not to the Office of Financial Aid. Upon receipt of the Rights and Responsibility  form, the OASIS will mail you your Financial Aid Transcript. if we do  not receive the Rights and Responsibility Form or if you don’t attend an Exit Interview  session, a stop will be placed on your academic record. This stop will  mean that you cannot receive your diploma, transcript, certification of  attendance, or degree. Questions about the exit interview should be directed  to the OASIS (Rm 217HN).
