for New York City Educators

AEGUS conference March 31 and April 1 at the College of New Rochelle.

At the 20th annual conference of the Association for the Education of Gifted Underachieving Students, you can hear nationally recognized experts talking about underachievement, dual exceptionality, social/emotional needs, the arts, collaborations, and many other diversity concerns in gifted education. This is a small parent-friendly and teacher-friendly conference where you will have opportunities for casual conversation with the experts. New York State Summer School of the Arts, providing summer residential programs for New York State high school students which provide intensive pre-professional training with internationally acclaimed artists and artistic companies:

The Jazz Standard (beneath Blue Smoke restaurant on 27th St. and Park Avenue in New York City ) has a program to introduce kids to jazz. It's free.
