MINUTES OF HEO FORUM GENERAL MEETING – SEPTEMBER 21, 2011
The meeting was called to order at 12:40. Member of the Steering Committee were introduced. Barbara Barone gave a brief overview of the HEO Forum Survey results. Serafina Rutigliano then spoke about questions raised on the survey as well issues raised from the floor. These included updated information on comp time, dedicated sick leave and discretionary leave, CUNY First, HEO Advancement, regulations regarding 13.3B, merit increases, hiring pause/freezes and guidelines for appointing college assistants. It was suggested that HR partner with the HEO Forum to run some open meetings on issues of interest to all separate from our regular meetings. This offer will also be extended to Purchasing , Facilities, and the Business Office Units. The meeting adjourned at 2:00. Respectfully submitted, Barbara Barone Barbara Barone
In summary, of those who responded (roughly 50%):
34% were at Hunter between 3-5 years and 13% were at Hunter more than 30 years.
27% responded that had worked at CUNY 0-2 years whereas 23% had worked at CUNY more than 30 years.
35% held Master's Degree's, 21% held Masters plus additional credits but not Doctorate
7% had PHd/EdD/Law Degree's.
