The Goods

In addition to the academic rigor of Hunter, the cultural wealth of Manhattan, and the unrivalled diversity of NYC, the Macaulay Honors College offers something else which can not be undervalued: an affordable college experience.

All Macaulay Honors Scholars at Hunter College receive the following:

  • Four years of tuition at Hunter, including the ability to take up to eight credits per summer session.
  • A state-of-the-art laptop (currently provided by Apple), which is wireless and thus connects to all Wi-Fi networks at Hunter (including the Honors College lounge network), and is also loaded with all the software you might need.
  • The choice of receiving a free dormitory room as long as Hunter maintains a Residence Hall, or a yearly stipend of $1000. This is a benefit that currently no other Honors College campus provides.
  • A Cultural Passport for four years, which provides free or reduced cost entrance to virtually all cultural institutions in New York City.
  • Priority registration each semester at Hunter, ensuring that you will get into the classes you want to take.
  • A $7500 Study Grant which you can use to study abroad, take unpaid internships, or help prepare for graduate school exams and other academic resources.
