Department of History
Departmental Honors Program

Students will be eligible for honors in history upon completion of 30 credits in history, with a 3.5 GPA in history and a 2.8 cumulative GPA at the time of graduation. To be eligible to graduate with honors in History, students are required to take HIST 400 (Historiography) as well as 3 to 6 credits in seminar, tutorial or problems courses, or graduate courses with special permission, with a grade of B or better. (Qualified students in their junior and senior years may be admitted to graduate courses with the permission of the department chair.) The Department of History is currently working on expanding internships for its best students.
