Department of Nursing

Departmental Honors Program

The Department of Nursing offers Honors opportunities for its undergraduate students. Students may elect to enroll in a designated honors course that is offered each semester. To graduate with Department Honors, it is necessary to have taken an honors course, have a 3.5 cumulative index in Nursing courses, and have a 2.8 overall cumulative index. Each semester, there are designated Graduate Nursing courses at the 600 level that are open to qualified senior generic and RN pathway students.

Additionally, Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor society in Nursing, has a chapter at Hunter that offers qualified students membership in this prestigious society.
