Program
in Religion
Honors Program
The
Program in Religion offers an honors seminar in Religion every
spring, limited to 12 Religion majors with at least a 3.5 average
in Religion. In this seminar, the students read and discuss books
too complex to be taught in regular survey courses. Each student
writes a 30-page paper on a subject of her own choosing, discussing
at every stage with all the others in the seminar. Religion also
offers Modern Theories in Religion, which is restricted to upper
level juniors and seniors planning on graduate school and majoring
in religion or an allied field. In addition, the Program in Religion
offers independent study and honors tutorial courses for its outstanding
majors.
