Hunter recently planted 16 street trees on its Main and Brookdale campuses. 

The trees were donated to the College by MillionTreesNYC, the organization which is spearheading the Bloomberg administration's mission of planting one million trees throughout New York City by 2017.  Adding a million trees to our urban landscape helps to cool our local climate, mitigates stormwater runoff, purifies the air we breathe and generally makes our city a more pleasant place to live.
