For New Faculty and Staff:
Requests for telephones, telephone service and voicemail must be send from the Department Chair or Unit Director or designee to the Faculty/Staff Help Desk.
This request should include the following:
- the name of the person
- room number and building
- dialing restrictions (e.g., if long distance is required)
- type of phone (analog or digital)
- the approval of the chair or director
After this email is received a work order will be generated for the Telecomm Team to install the new phone. No phone lines can be installed without a Telecomm Work order based on this request to the help desk.
For Current Faculty and Staff:
Requests for changes or moves for telephone service and voicemail must be send from the Department Chair or Unit Director or designee to the Faculty/Staff Help Desk.
- the current phone number
- the name of the person
- room number and building
- dialing restrictions (e.g., if long distance is required)
- type of phone (analog or digital)
- the approval of the chair or director
After this email is received a work order will be generated for the Telecomm Team. No moves, adds and changes to the phone service or to voicemail can be made without a Telecomm Work order based on this request to the help desk.
