About the Network:

Hunter has extensive wireless network. Click here for an up-to-date list of the wireless access locations.

The existing wireless network is 802.11a/b/g. By the end of the 2008-2009 school year, much of the wireless network will be upgraded to 802.11n coverage on the 68th St. Campus.

Here's the basics on how to access the wireless network (Hunternet):

When in an area of campus that has coverage (click here), turn on your wireless-enabled computer and connect to the network called "hunternet".  Once your computer tells you that you are connected, open a web browser.  You'll be taken to an authentication page.  Use your Hunter NetID and password to authenticate.  After that, you're free to browse!
