Generic Email Settings

Setting Up Your E-Mail Client

If you prefer not to read your e-mail over the Web, you can configure any ordinary mail program to read your Hunter e-mail.

If you are using Eudora, you will need slightly different settings:

Incoming Server ms1.hunter.cuny.edu
Incoming Port 110
Protocol POP


Outgoing Server smtp1.hunter.cuny.edu
Outgoing Port "Use Submission Port (587)"
Authentication "Allowed"
Use TLS "Yes, If Available"


E-mail Address <Your Hunter NetID>@hunter.cuny.edu
Username <Your Hunter NetID>
Password <Your Hunter NetID password>
