The Hunter WebCMS (Web Content Management System) provides the departments at the college with public facing websites that are independently managed, but capable of sharing responsibilities and roles as needed to keep them current and updated. The CMS provides workflow, versioning, and custom content types useful for serving public information via the web. The administration and editing of content is done entirely within a browser and eliminates the need to know (or learn) HTML. People who know about some topic will find be able to quickly and easily write for web publication.

Resources and expertise from a variety of ICIT areas have coordinated to implement and support Hunter's Web CMS project:

• To get started, attend one of our "Orientation Workshops."
• Once you have attended one of these sessions, your WebCMS site will be established. 
• Site planning is available to help you architect a site that is streamlined and easy to navigate by the end user.
• Individual help in learning the input your own content is also provided. 
• Monthly "Orientation Workshops" are available in the Technology Resource Center (TRC) and additional "Advanced Hands-on Sessions" are scheduled weekly to assist you with questions as you build your WebCMS site.
