July @ the IELI

Spend your summer soaking in the sun and sights of  New York City! July@theIELI is an intensive summer program for Low-Intermediate to Advanced students with 4 hours of daily instruction and weekly cultural adventures in NYC with the IELI.  Immerse yourself in the English Language and NYC living this Summer.

July at the IELI is a special intensive summer program designed to help students become more comfortable using both written and spoken English.  Classes will include instruction and practice for improved speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary. 

Optional cultural activities and trips to points of interest in New York City add a fun element to this summer program. Activities for 2013 include a boat ride to the Statue of Liberty, a Brooklyn Cyclones baseball game in Coney Island, a tour and dinner in Harlem, a summer concert in the park, and a Broadway musical.

Weekdays:
(July 9-August 2) – Classes meet 16 hours/week/4 weeks/$900
Schedule is 4 days/week, Tuesday – Friday, 9:10-12:50pm.
These are part-time courses that are open to everyone and do not affect your level in the full-time program or your visa status.

Tuition and Fees:
Tuition: $900
Placement Testing: $20
Registration Fee: $25
Optional Activities Package: $125

Note: July @ the IELI courses are not part of the IELI 8-level Day or Evening Academic Skills program. Students who wish to transfer to the Academic Skills classes will be placed either:

  • according to their original TOEIC score or
  • at the level that their teacher suggests or
  • they may retake the TOEIC for a fee of $60

July@ IELI Housing Rates
Location: Brookdale Dormitory on 25th Street and 1st Avenue
Options:

  • Single Rooms with Air Conditioning- $55/day
  • Single Rooms without Air Conditioning- $45/day
