TOEFL iBT Preparation

Our TOEFL iBT Preparation Classes prepare students for all sections of the TOEFL iBT Exam: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking.

Skills and Practice for the TOEFL iBT* (TOEFULL)

18 Academic Hours per Week for 8 weeks (Daytime)

Levels: Students who have completed levels 7 & 8

 

These classes are designed to teach the language skills and test-taking strategies needed to achieve a competitive score on the reading, writing, listening, and speaking segments of the TOEFL iBT. Students will take practice TOEFL tests to become familiar with the exam. They will then analyze results to find areas to improve using the skills learned. Note: Students who have completed level 6 can take the full time TOEFL program with special permission. Please visit our office to schedule an appointment. Must meet academic requirements.

 

TOEFL iBT - Daytime (144 Hours)
$2000 plus registration fee
Time Mon- Fri; Between 8:50am-2:50pm
Dates Fall I 2016: Aug.29-Oct.21; Fall II 2016: Oct.31- Dec.23

 

TOEFL iBT: Preparation* (TOEFPAR/2)

 

Part Time; 36 Hours

Levels: 5-8

 

This class will help prepare students for the TOEFL iBT test. Students will learn how to listen for main ideas, details, function, and inferences. Students will learn how to compare and contrast information in the integrated skills section. TOEFL-level vocabulary will be learned in context.

 

TOEFL iBT - Part Time
$600 plus registration fee
Time Saturdays/7weeks; 9:00am-1:30pm
Dates Fall I 2016: Sep.10-Oct.22; Fall II 2016: Oct.29- Dec.17 (skips 11/26)

 

TOEFL Skills* (TOEFLSK)

 

Don't wait to start preparing for the TOEFL exam! The TOEFL Skills course is designed to help intermediate and high intermediate students begin to gain valuable skills that they will need to get a high score on the TOEFL exam. In this course students will learn important academic language skills like paraphrasing texts, comparing and contrasting ideas and using detailed examples to support opinions. This course is open to students who are currently in levels 4 through 6 and is taught by a professional teacher with over 20 years of experience in TOEFL Exam Preparation.

 

TOEFL iBT - Part Time (36 Hours)
Tuition $600, Full-time students pay $300 (plus registration fee)
Time Tue. & Thu; 5:35-7:30pm
Dates Fall II 2016: Nov.1- Dec.22

 

 

*Students planning to take TOEFL classes are required to take the placement exam.
