Configuring Outlook Exchange on an Unsupported Device

Below you'll find the settings typically needed to configure Outlook Exchange on devices not supported by ICIT.

  • ICIT only recommends—and supports—using Outlook Web Access (OWA) from your browser when you are not using Outlook Exchange.
  • Note that deletion of a message when using a POP3 or IMAP client is final. ICIT won't be able to retreive any message for users.

IMAP Incoming

  • Incoming server: mail.hunter.cuny.edu
  • Username: your NetID
  • Password: your NetID password
  • Security: SSL (Required)
  • Port: 993

POP3 Incoming

  • Incoming server: mail.hunter.cuny.edu
  • Username: your NetID
  • Password: your NetID password
  • Security: SSL (Required)
  • Port: 995

SMTP Outgoing

  • Outgoing server: mail.hunter.cuny.edu
  • Username: your NetID
  • Password: your NetID password
  • Security: STARTTLS (Required)
  • Port: 587
