AKTINA Productions presents Lavrentis Machairitsas from the concert series, GREEK MUSIC JOURNEY

Greece's leading singer/songwriter Lavrentis Machairitsas in a one of kind concert that was long awaited! In his debut performance in the U.S., Machairitsas promises a memorable performance enhanced with videos, everlasting hits from his personal discography and a tribute to great Greek composers including Mikis Theodorakis (Zorba the Greek) among others. He is accompanied by popular singer Dimitra Papiou, the renowned classical guitarist Panagiotis Margaris and the acclaimed soloists Zinovia Arvanitidi, piano/vocals, Akis Amprazis, bass and Filippos Spyropoulos, percussion. Lavrentis Machairitsas' impressive career spans over 3 decades with many recordings and collaborations. Over 40 renowned Greek stars and over 20 internationally acclaimed stars have collaborated with Machairitsas in recordings, live performances and also performed his songs including the legends: George Dalaras, Maria Farantouri, Angelo Braduardi, Salvadore Adamo, Tonino Carotone, among others. Non-profit AKTINA Productions, Inc., the presenter and AKTINA FM-WNYE 91.5FM celebrate this year 20 years of excellence and contributions to the arts, culture and public radio broadcasting and with this benefit concert they conclude their festivities on this auspicious occasion. The concert is produced by Elena Maroulleti.
