The Language, Communication and Cognition Lab
Welcome to the LCC lab! Research in the lab examines speech, language, communication, and cognitive processes in a variety of populations. We are an interdisciplinary team, with expertise in linguistic theory, psycholinguistic experimentation, and clinical speech-language pathology. As a framework, we are pioneering the use of the ICF (International Classification of Functioning Disability and Health) Model to both basic and translational research in clinical populations.
Current Aphasia Research Project: Individualized aphasia therapy in conjunction with noninvasive brain stimulation. This project involves speech-language therapy in conjunction with transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) for people with aphasia. We are recruiting subjects.
