How far away is the residence from the main Hunter campus?
Hunter's Apartments at 79th St are conveniently located 12 minutes away by taking the #6 train, or just an 18-minute walk!

Who is eligible to live at Hunter's Apartments at 79th Street?
Only full-time Hunter College undergraduates and graduates are eligible to reside here.

What are the building and apartment amenities?
Apartments at 79th Street are open-floor plan 4-person quads, 3-person triples, and 6-person suites with no private bedrooms. Apartment amenities include: kitchen with appliances, dining table and chairs, full shared bathroom(s), air conditioning & heat, A TV with cable & internet, 3-seat sofa, small dressers, and bunked twin-XL beds

Is financial aid available?
There may be a $1,000 award available for eligible students. More information will be sent at a later date. Students will also be able to enroll in monthly payment plans.

Is there a meal plan available?
None of our Living@Hunter residence halls have meal plans, however each unit has a full service kitchen for students to use. There are also multiple restaurants and food places located in the area.

Who will my roommates be?
While roommates can be requested they are not guaranteed.  We take your roommate preferences into account once you are accepted, however, roommate assignments are not disclosed prior to move in. Class year levels are taken into account.
