Prospective Residents
The Hunter College Residences are home to approximately 800 of Hunter's 23,000 students. Only a limited number of students have the opportunity to live in the residences. Unfortunately, due to the high number of applications we are unable to offer housing to all our applicants, and suggest that each applicant also has alternative housing options.
Prior to applying to Living@Hunter, please make sure you are eligible:
- Full-time, matriculated Hunter College Student
- Maintain a 2.0+ GPA every semester
Application Instructions
Step 1: Explore the Living@Hunter Residencies!
We strongly encourage you to explore the site of each residency, as they are all different:
- the 92nd Street Residence, operated by the 92nd Street Y (undergraduates only)
- the 97th Street Residence, operated by 1760 Realty Owner LLC (undergraduates only)
- the Brookdale Campus Residence, operated by Hunter College (undergraduates only)
- Hunter's Apartments at 79th Street, operated by Hunter College (undergraduates and graduates)
Step 2: Gather what you need to apply:
- CUNYFirst ID/EMPL ID (see instructions below)
- Month and year of birth
How to find your CUNYFirst ID/EMPL ID:
- If you're a current Hunter College Student:
Your CUNYFirst ID/EMPL ID can be found on your Hunter College OneCard or your CUNYFirst account. - If you have been recently accepted into Hunter College, and indicated that you plan to attend, but have NOT paid your Commitment Deposit:
Your CUNYFirst ID/EMPL ID can be found on the top-right corner of your MyChoice page. - If you have been recently accepted into Hunter College and have paid your Commitment Deposit:
Your CUNYFirst ID/EMPL ID can be found in the My Info section of your MyHunter page.
Step 3: Login to the application and apply!
Fill out a few questions, tell us what you're interested in and submit!
You will know that your application has been submitted successfully when you see, “LIVING@HUNTER RESIDENCE HALL APPLICATION SUBMISSION SUCCESSFUL” displayed on your screen. A submission receipt will be sent to your MyHunter email account.
If you are having issues logging into the application we ask that you follow these steps:
- Wait 48 hours and try logging into the application again.
- If the error persists please fill out this form ww3.hunter.cuny.edu/residencelife/view.php?id=81290 and we will investigate.
Step 4: Keep Checking your MyHunter email for notifcations!
Living@Hunter notifications will be sent to your MyHunter email on file. Please remember that the application process is highly competitive and we suggest that each applicant also has alternative housing options.
