Our talented and diverse staff is dedicated to ensuring that the Hunter Residence experience runs smoothly and safely. The Office of Residence Life is open daily to assist students who have questions or concerns about the Residence Life program. In addition to our regular business hours, we have limited evening office hours for students’ convenience. We are located at the Brookdale Campus.

A member of our professional staff is always on call, but in the case of an emergency, students should contact the Office of Public Safety at 212.772.4444. They will contact our staff.

RAs and CAs

Resident Assistants (RA)
Your Resident Assistant is one of the most valuable resources at Hunter College. Resident Assistants— or RAs — are academically successful students who have been selected for their leadership abilities, interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and sense of commitment to the residence hall community.

Community Advisors (CA)
Along with an RA, each floor is also staffed with a Community Advisor (CA). The CA helps with student issues and programming within the community.

Days: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Eves: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

During the Summer Term
Days: Monday – Thursday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm. Closed Fridays.
Eves: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
