What will you study?

This March at Hunter it's Major Madness! Leading up to Major Day on Thursday, March 23, 2017, Major Madness is a month-long series of events to help you explore majors and meet with faculty as you continue your academic journey at Hunter. By the end of the month, we hope that you are inspired, informed and better prepared to choose a major at Hunter that is aligned with your goals and interests. To take advantage of Major Madness, get started by checking out the calendar of events below.

Major Day: Thursday, March 23, 2017

Join us for Major Day on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 1-3PM in the 3rd Floor Cafeteria! From Art History to Public Policy, Computer Science to Nursing and more, we've assembled the largest Hunter gathering of faculty and departmental advisors ever -- just for you! Major Day is your opportunity to connect face-to-face with faculty and students representing Hunter's various academic departments and ask questions about extensive majors and programs. And don't worry, we'll have the fun stuff too, including food, games, contests, and giveaways!

3/8/17 11AM-12PM Major Madness Workshop for Undeclared Freshmen
Are you confused about choosing a major? Co-hosted by the Office of Advising, Counseling and Wellness, and Career Development Services, this workshop will help you understand: 1) where you are in the major discernment process, 2) how your major may or may not correlate directly with your career path, and 3) available resources at Hunter to guide you through the major exploration process.

3/9/17 7PM Accounting Society Open House Join us for an open house sponsored by the Hunter Accounting Society for prospective Accounting students to speak with Accounting Society student members and faculty. Refreshments will be served. 217 West Economics
3/15/17 1:30-2:30PM Chinese Program Info Session During this one hour session, we would invite potential majors to meet current majors (representing both Chinese Flagship and non-Flagship). We will provide cookies, punch, meet and greet by faculty, and literature about the programs. B126 West Classical and Oriental Studies
3/15/17 1-3PM Political Science Majors Meeting For potential Political Science majors, the student members of the Political Science Association will talk about their experiences as POLSC majors. We will serve pizza and soda for a 2-hour event. 1729 West Political Science
3/18/17 TBA Conference for CUNY Spanish Literature Students This a conference for CUNY Spanish Literature students. It will be an opportunity for undergraduate and masters students to present their research. It may also be of interest for prospective students. 8th Floor West Romance Languages
