Where are We Now

We began active preparation for the reaccreditation process in fall 2016 by sending representatives to the Middle States “Self-Study Institute,” where along with other schools on the same cycle we reviewed expectations under the new Standards and processes.  Here is the status board for next steps:

Status Action
Complete Appointment of Steering Committee to guide the Self-Study
Complete Appointment of Workgroups to focus on each of the Seven Standards in the Self-Study
Complete for now, but will develop further according to Workgroup needs Prepare Documentation Roadmap connecting the standards with relevant documents
Complete Prepare Self-Study Design
Complete Schedule preliminary campus visit with Middle States V.P. Sean McKitrick
Complete Self-Study Design approved by Middle States VP liaison
In progress Workgroups commence their research, analysis, and writing

Over the 2017-18 academic year, our Workgroups will be examining data, gathering new information, and preparing an analytical report describing the institution’s performance in meeting each standard.  Dr. Sean McKitrick from Middle States met with various campus groups in early September, 2017, to discuss expectations and to answer questions with regard to the reaccreditation process.  Other preparation includes an update of our institutional Learning Outcomes with completion expected sometime in the 2017-18 academic year.
