The MLS Program now offers some classes in the early evening designed to better serve:

  • students with jobs and families
  • working lab professionals wishing to qualify for state licensure (including options for non-degree status)

 

Evening classes to be offered in Summer/Fall:

(subject to adequate enrollment)

MLS 300 Fundamentals of the Medical Lab (summer session)

MLS 347 Human Histology lab (lecture meets on Wed am)

MLS 349 Hematology lab (lecture meets on Wed am)

MLS 351 and 352 Clinical Microbiology lab (lecture meets on Thurs am)

MLS 354 Clinical Biochemistry l lab (lecture meets Thurs pm)

MLS 355 Clinical Biochemistry ll lab (lecture meets Wed am)

MLS 361  Computers in the Medical lab

MLS 450 Cell & Tissue lab (lecture meets Thurs am)                                                                                                                  

Additional evening classes will be taught in future semesters, but please note, it will NOT be possible to complete the full BS degree in the evening. MLS majors need to be available for some daytime classes.

Part-time students are welcome in MLS.

MLS is a licensure-qualifying program under the current NYS licensure guidelines for medical technologists.

Degree applications for the Biomedical Laboratory Management (BLM) Masters Program is now closed for Fall 2012. However, we may be able to start some students in non-degree status with MLS 700, "Concepts of Disease: Diagnostic Strategies". This would only apply to a limited number of students who would otherwise qualify for matriculation for Spring 2013. Please contact Dr. Raffaniello or Dr. Linder if you would like to be considered in this category.

Advanced Certicate in Medical Technology (AC) and is now closed and will not accept any more applications for the Fall 2012 semester.
