Admission Requirements

  • One year of General Chemistry for science majors with lab and grade of at least C (Equivalent to Hunter College courses: CHEM 102/104 and 103/105 or 106). Note: this requirement cannot be substituted by Chemistry for non-science majors, such as CHEM 100/101 and/or CHEM 120/121 or their equivalent)  
  • One year of General Biology for science majors with lab and grade of at least C (Equivalent to Hunter College Courses: BIO 100 and 102). Note: this requirement cannot be substituted by Anatomy and Physiology (BIO 120/122 or their equivalent). 
  • 60 credits
  • Overall G.P.A of at least 2.5

If you studied or intend to study General Chemistry and Biology at a CUNY 2 year college, check the guide to equivalent courses (see “transferring credit”) to be sure you are taking the correct classes. If outside CUNY, take classes designated for biomedical science majors, i.e. the most rigorous ones you can find.
