Medical Laboratory Sciences Program

 home

The Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) Program was founded in 1970 as an undergraduate major of the Institute of Health Sciences.

The MLS mission is to educate entry level laboratory professionals to accept positions in the wide range of health related laboratories in the New York area. These include:

  • hospital and private diagnostic labs
  • academic research laboratories
  • pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies

The rigorous curriculum also provides the academic background to pursue advanced degrees in graduate and professional (medical and dental) schools, as well as advanced clinical certifications.

For questions about the MLS program, please send an email to Dr. Steven Einheber at seinhebe@hunter.cuny.edu
