Congratulations, Muse Scholar Class of 2017!


On Tuesday, May 30, at Radio City Music Hall, 20 Muse Scholars graduated from Hunter College during the Spring 2017 Commencement Exercises.

At this momentous occasion, 5 Muse Scholars were honored on stage as Salutatorians: Kim Hamadani, Ilana Krugolets, Krisha Mehta, Maureen Murray, and Dana Nassau.

The ceremony began with introductory remarks and greetings from President  Jennifer J. Raab followed by CUNY Trustee and Hunter alum Sandra Wilkin’s (BSN '79). NYS official Alphonso David delivered a powerful commencement speech, and Valedictorian Daniela Mikhaylov’s address to her classmates was uplifting and inspiring— Hunter College’s 215th Commencement was a celebration of courage, diversity, achievement and triumph.

Asia Society CelebrationA week before the Commencement Exercises, Dara Meyers-Kingsley, Director of the Muse Scholar Program, invited this year’s graduating Muses to a lunch at Asia Society in celebration of their achievements at Hunter. Congratulations, Muse Scholar Class of 2017!
