Muse Scholars release indie rock EPs

The Fall 2014 semester has been a musical one for two Muse Scholars, who have completed recording projects in time for the holiday season.

Edrean Kabigting (Class of '18) released "New York Inbound" this month with his Queens-based band, Grand Central Affair. The band describes its sound as influenced by The Beatles, Green Day, Elton John, and Led Zeppelin.

"New York Inbound" is posted on YouTube and available for download at Bandcamp.

Nate McCarthy (Class of '17) will release a new EP on January 6 with his band, Regret the Hour, which recorded with D. James Goodwin (Devo, Kaki King,  Norah Jones, The Bravery, and Kiss Kiss). Regret the Hour's sound has been described as "atmospheric post-punk ... with chiming, churning melodies reminiscent of U2, and the brainy edginess of Radiohead."

Copies of the EP will be available at a special, pre-release show at Mercury Lounge on December 6. More information and tickets available at: www.bowerypresents.com.
