Muses have pre-show discussion at Signature Theatre

The Muses enjoyed a pre-show talk with Signature Theatre's Artistic Line Producer Rob Marcato and Literary Manager Jenna Clark Embrey before seeing Incident at Vichy on Tuesday, November 17. The event gave the students insight into the makings of the theatre's production of the Arthur Miller play and provided them with an opportunity to learn about careers  in Theatre.

Although the play was originally written in 1964 and set in Holocaust era France, its broad themes dealing with the nature of humanity allowed students to draw their own connections. The pre-show talk certainly "set the stage" for lively discussions in class in the following days, as students grappled with production decisions in staging a one-act play and Miller's character development, among other topics. The Muses were thrilled to meet Marcato and Embrey and to view the production - a celebration of the Centennial of the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright's birth.
