Ruby Hutson-Ellenberg (Class of '15) received accolades from Hunter's English Department during the Spring 2015 semester. Her original play won second place for the Andrew and Eleanor McGlinchee Prize for a play, one of the department's annual prizes.

A Creative Writing major, Hutson-Ellenberg has been active in the performing arts since arriving at Hunter. She has interned with the Mint Theater Co., working in Mint's office and on set with electricians, set constructionists, stage managers and the props master. She also worked as a backstage assistant.

"I learned a tremendous amount while increasing my passion for and knowledge of theatre," Hutson-Ellenberg, who also acted in a Spring 2015 production of Eve Ensler's Vagina Monologues at Hunter.
