Gerontological/Adult Nurse Practitioner
The Gerontological/Adult Nurse Practitioner program prepares nurses to provide primary care for adults and older adults in the community and in a variety of health care settings. Students learn to apply expert knowledge and research findings through 42 credits of coursework and 735 hours of supervised clinical experience. Graduates of the program are eligible for New York State NP certification and meet the educational requirements for national board certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program. They are also eligible for New York State NP certification.
