DNP Program at Hunter College

 

The Doctor of Nursing Practice (D.N.P.) is offered to nurses with a baccalaureate or master's degree in nursing. The program includes four tracks:

  • Adult/Gerontological DNP
  • Psychiatric/Mental Health DNP
  • Family Nurse Practitioner DNP (We are not currently accepting new students into our FNP track DNP programs)
  • Community/Public Health Nursing DNP


The FNP DNP is currently accepting Post-Master's student's only. The other three programs accept post-baccalaureate and post-master's students. Students may enroll for full-time or part-time study.


All four programs require 90 credits and 1000 post-baccaluareate clinical hours. Qualified applicants with a Master's Degree in Nursing may be admitted with advanced standing.

Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the DNP Program

The DNP program is available for part-time and full-time study and both for post-BS and post-MS students.
