The Health Professions Library provides access to over 26,500 volumes and 224 professional journals housed in 10,000 square feet of space. In addition, full text articles from over 50,000 journals are accessible via the library's electronic resources.
The library provides seating for 212 (156 in the library and 64 in the two computer labs). These labs provide access to various software applications from general productivity (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.) to specialized applications such as Epi Info, SAS, and SPSS to support the needs of the faculty and students. The librarians lead engaging educational programs on topics in information and technology literacy, research, citation management, and bibliographic tools at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
In addition, all CUNY students, faculty, and staff have full access to all libraries in the CUNY system, regardless of their affiliation. CUNY's library system is a federation of 31 libraries that supports the learning, teaching, and research activities of the University's 24 colleges and 100+ research centers and institutes. Together, the CUNY library system contains more than 9 million print volumes, special collections and archives, several hundred thousand e-books, and a collection of electronic journals and databases supporting more than 23 million database searches per year.
