Position Description:-

Under the supervision of an RN, our intern will be working with adults with severe and chronic mental illness who may also have co-occurring medical issues and medical illnesses as well. Our intern will gain experience in the following areas: ∙

• Administering PO and IM medications
  Connecting with pharmacies and laboratories for medication and blood work purposes
  Providing First Aid
  Performing toxicology screenings
  Picking up doctor’s orders
  Crisis Intervention
  Infection Control Procedures
  Communication Skills with Treatment
  Providing patient education
  Running psycho-education groups on mental illness/health and wellness
  Clinical Documentation
  Light office work
