The Nursing Skills Laboratory, located on the Brookdale campus, offers an environment to practice fundamental medical techniques for undergraduate students.  The Nursing Lab plays a key role in the physical assessment component of the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.  The main part of the lab has 3 rooms: an instructional demonstration area, the Joyce M. Hope Lab, which is a simulated hospital floor consisting of 10 patient bed units, and a separate model of an ambulatory care unit with 5 fully equipped patient stations.  The Joyce M. Hope Lab was a recent addition to the Nursing Lab provided by alumni fundraising efforts.  The Nursing Lab also houses the Viola Shiffrin Advanced Practice Lab, with 7 fully equipped assessment stations and a small conference area with complete internet and AV instructional capabilities.
