Living @ Hunter: Student Housing
How to Apply
Submit your application for any of Hunter's Residence Halls to the Office of Residence Life. Unfortunately, due to the overwhelming demand for affordable housing in New York City, the Office of Residence Life receives far more requests for housing than can be filled. If your application is not accepted, you will be placed on a wait list.
Please note that the Bursar's Office does not make application decisions or initiate refunds. After those decisions are made by the Office of Residence Life, the Bursar's Office will process your payments or distribute refunds.
For additional information about the Residence Halls and your application status, please call the Residence Life Office at 212.396.7136 or email living@hunter.cuny.edu.

Fees, Fines and Penalties
All of your bills must be settled before you move into your room. If you owe fees, or need to pay fines, the Bursar's Office will place a negative Service Indicator on your CUNYfirst account. This "stop" will also prevent you from registering for an upcoming term, or obtaining official Hunter College documents, such as your student records and transcripts.
