Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant

The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant is for students who are completing, or plan to complete, course work needed to begin a career in teaching. To receive a TEACH Grant, students must agree to teach for four years in a high-need field at an elementary school, secondary school, or educational service agency that serves low-income families.

If a student doesn’t complete the teaching service requirement, all TEACH Grants the student received will be converted to a Direct Unsubsidized Loan that must be repaid, with interest. For more information, please visit https://studentaid.ed.gov or contact Hunter College's School of Education.
