Research Interests

►Fabrication and characterization of polymer and metal composites of carbon nanotubes to improve properties such as thermal and electrical conductivity as well as mechanical strength. Characterization includes Raman spectroscopy, NMR , EPR, electrical measurements, stress-strain  and hardness measurements.

►Theoretical calculations of properties of doped carbon nanostructures such as single walled carbon nanotubes and graphene. The object of the work is to predict new behavior such as the possibility that these structures could be magnetic semiconductors.

►Synthesis and characterization of room temperature magnetic semiconductors inorder to combine switching and storage in one material. Magnetic properties are studied by ac susceptibility and ferromagnetic resonance.

►Synthesis and characterization of high temperature superconductors

►Physics and chemistry of the initiation of detonation.
